Fish Tank Follies
  Acting Up Theatre Company has been entertaining Library audiences for 10 years now and in 2010 they hope to make their biggest splash yet with their original interactive family play: "Fish Tank Follies". All of the sea creatures in the Smith family fish tank have a talent... There's the singing Diva Starfish "Star" whose voice is as big as her ego, The Comedian Clownfish "Clownie" who is full of Jokes and riddles that she learned in books from the 700 section in his local aqua-bary and then there is the legend in her own mind-- the daredevil goldfish Goldie McCrazygills who is going to attempt the greatest stunt ever performed in a fish tank. All of these wonderful performers are rehearsed and ready to perform their talents however Hermie the Hermit Crab is sad and at a loss; he doesn't have a talent. But with the help of his friends, books from the aqua-bary and his own imagination he will make a splash of his own in the "Fish Tank Follies".

Acting Up Theatre Company has gained a reputation across the state for its educational and uplifting theatrical performances. They travel to all over state and book over 70 shows each Summer; this is their eleventh year perfroming in Michigan Libraries. This show will feature comedy, pop-culture references, changing characters and of course the Acting Up fan favorite -- audience particpation.
Price & Requirements
Acting Up wishes to offer a
top-notch show at an affordable price. If you would like to book "Fish Tank Follies" for your Summer Reading Program,
the price will be $375.00 per show, but if there is more
than one library in your district and wish to "piggy-back" in the same
day, our **"piggy-back" price is $330.00 per library.
The show is designed to fit in as many places as possible, so it only requires a 12' x 12' area with an 8 1/2' ceiling.

**Piggy-back pricing is available to
libraries with another show within 50 miles that can
book in the same day. Must allow at least two hours (travel and set-up)
between performances.
